Phase three - exhibition

Not the last phase...

The weeks before the exhibition have been a very busy time, full of research and work on artistic ideas and pieces, between workshops, lectures, events and discussions on art and culture. The ongoing and in the end often sleepless process found its conclusion on the day of the exhibition's opening.

The vernissage on 25th of September was fully successful as the exhibition was well perceived by a big curious and attracted public and well-disposed representatives of local and international media: After an introductive presentation by the organizing team of Project: Synapses the audience was invited to have a snack and to take a look at the exhibition and to talk to the artists. The event was accompanied by a Fire Spectacle by Jacob Kaller (Germany) with his international group and a funk-jazz concert by Dorel Burleacu & www.funky.md from Moldova. This very pleasant atmosphere made participants and the broad and open-minded audience celebrate and dance until late at night.

On the following evenings of the exhibition various events took place, as the final presentation of Oberliht's project "INTERVENTII3", fire juggling spectacles (Jacob Kaller) and a blacklight performance by Friedrich Bielenstein (Germany).
The exhibition closed on the 29th of September presenting an artistic performance by Veaceslav Druta (Moldova) and Georg Waldmann (Germany) and a contemporary dance performance by and with Alexandra Soshnicova (Moldova), Danil Belkin and Denis Pronin (both from Ukraine).

The exhibition and each of its special events gained a very satisfying and satisfied audience. For four days the circus building became Chisinau's location of communication around the arts, culture and projects in these fields, on local as well as international level. New contacts have been created, ideas have been exchanged and developed and plans for further projects and cooperation have been formed.
One can say that these last days of our stay in Chisinau have been our most intensive ones.

And, with the distance of space and time, after turning home, we agree about the extraordinary value of the experiences we made and the friends we have found in Chisinau. And, the thought of coming back to Moldova one hopefully soon day is haunting in our minds.
